Almost any weapon consumes ammunition and need to be reloaded. Avoid doing this in the midst of battle because you become vulnerable during the reloading process. Try to find cover.

Almost every weapon in Quasimorph consumes ammunition, which will need to be reloaded. Reloading will refill the ammunition of the equipped weapon after enough AP has been expended. If at all possible, avoid doing this in the midst of battle, as the option of switching and/or firing weapons will be completely disabled until the process is complete, which can lead to some dire situations.
